2011 is coming to an end in just a day time. Maybe it's time for me to do some reflection for 2011.

Several changes were introduced into my life, some big impact in my life, some small... Perhaps I would just talk about the big ones then.

Precious Junior's leaving in April
It was a very painful event for my family. He came into our life when I was in secondary school and had been a part of the family since then. His sudden leaving left us in a shock and till today we were still not totally over it. Every now and then when I see his pictures in my room, it would remind me of what a sweet darling he had been. He will be forever in our heart and he is deeply missed by us.

Leaving my previous job in July
I would not say that which job is better. But rather it is something different. Leaving my comfort zone to explore something new was not an easy task for me but yet I did it. I am actually quite happy that I did. Having more time for my family and friends was something I yearned to have but could not due to datelines and responsibilities. There are different pros and cons in every job out there, I understands and respects that. I am happy now with my current job and I guess that says it all.

Bought Blossom Residences in August
Bunny and I finally bought our little love nest together. Although it will only be ready in 2014, it was a big commitment for the both of us and also the start of a new level in our relationship. As this little place does not come cheap, there will probably be alot of planning to be done next year.

Bro and Sis decided to organize a family dinner at the Dan Ryan Chicago Grill after hearing so many ravings about it.

It was a very cozy English style restaurant. (What can you expect from an American restaurant right?) We ordered the set menu which was quite a big portion and definitely some other sides to share as well

Bread (There was some butter cake and muffin in the basket as well)
Starter (Salad or soup) - I took the salad for a change
Main course - I had the steak
Dessert - I had it change to the brownie

My favourite dish for the evening would definitely be the brownie dessert. It was so rich and moist. Yummy...

Overall, the food was great and the portion was quite generous. Everyone was enjoying the food and company which was the whole idea for this dinner.

This year, we decided to go on a short getaway to Bintan... Initial plans was with David and his girlfriend but due to some mishap, they decided to give it a pass. So, it was just Bunny and me in the huge villa. We stayed at Indra Maya Resort, the exact one that we had stayed the last time we went.
When we were there, there was a event going on "Tour De Bintan 2011" where cyclist from all over world will come to cycle. It was pretty cool, we got to see many different types of bicycles and how cautious they were when they were handling it. Interesting... But the funny thing was, during the event everywhere was packed with people but other then that it was empty, like a dead town, even for the restaurants, attractions and even the beach. Often we wonder, where did all the people go?
This was a really relaxing trip. Just lazing by the pool with a book in the hand, away from all the work, away from all the stress felt so good. I can do this more often.

How can we not celebrate Oktoberfest in October right? So I brought my parents to join in the fun for Oktoberfest at Brozeit. A pity Bro was unable to join us as he will only touch down from Vietnam in the wee hours. Despite that, we had a great deal of fun. At least my parents got to experience something new.

How can we miss out beer on this occasion? (1 for Bunny and 1 for me)

Took part in the Pink Ribbon Walk by Watsons on Saturday. It was FUN, the whole area was a sea of pink. Although the walk was tiring, I find it inspiring and enjoyable. Really proud of those breast cancer survivors, they are so brave.
After the walk, met up with Bunny and friends for some prawning session. Omg, it's my first time prawning and probably going to be the last time as well. It's so boring and the prawns doesn't even taste nice. Wonder why would people pay so much for tasteless prawns. To think of it logically, it's such an expensive game to prawn. I might as well buy $30 worth of prawns from the market and put them in a pail to prawn at home, bored of prawning then cook them to satisfy the hungry stomach.

Our monthly dinner was at Tiffany at Furama Hotel. It was to celebrate my colleagues' birthday and farewell for our intern. The food was alright and the company was great. Really enjoyed myself.

Took leave on Monday and went to Sentosa with Bunny. We had a great time. Bought the play pass for 4 attractions. We went to the Sentosa Cineblast - extreme log ride, desperados (3D), pirates (4D) and not forgetting Segway. Everything was almost perfect when I fell... It was so embarrassing and painful. But overall I had fun. Thanks Bunny.

Yesterday was the celebration of my manager’s birthday. Got him an extremely cute cake from ECreative Group. Happy 37^th birthday!!!

On a side note, I got myself a new supply of supplements from Meiji, yesterday was my first time trying it out and I hope it is effective. I want my face to be soft and supple. Will review the next time round.

Hi guys,
It has been more then a week since I last blogged about something... Things are starting to pick up and there are more and more things to do which is a good thing. Last week was my orientation and I had fun. My favourite was definitely being attached for the sales survey. It was an eye opener for me. I could still remember, the shipper was a HUGE guy. I think his biceps were probably 3-4 times the size of thigh. I called him the “friendly giant.” Hahaha.

This week I had a feel of going out for my appointments and I think it was okay, not as stressful as I thought it would be.

Side note, I think I have been snacking a tad too much. All thanks to my lovely colleagues…

An interesting little note to myself

What makes a IDEAL couple...

1. Be yourself and accept what your partner is. A good relationship starts with acceptance. Don't force your partner to be someone else because he/she won't do it perfectly well and will cause problems.

2. Be giving. What's yours also belongs to your partner and what belongs to your partner is also yours.

3. Don't stop him/her from doing what makes him/her happy. If your partner is happy hanging out with the guys, let him. But he have to make sure that he's going somewhere safe, be home in time and don't gamble which includes smoking, drinking etc. And if your partner is happy at the salon, let her. But make sure she's with someone who can protect her.

4. I love what you love. In some case, some couples hate each other's friends or relatives. But you have to deal with it! It's like a package that when you get your couple from a store, the others are dragged.

5. Yin and Yang. Through all differences, you can make beautiful things. Like how the sun and moon alternates, they make a good day. Like the leaves on the trunk of tree gives you a yummy fruit. Like cement mixed with water to build a strong building .Differences can make good things.

6. Don't over do jealousy. Jealousy is a normal thing. But don't over do it cause in some cases, it affects trust. And especially in the relationship.

7. You make my day. Your partner makes your day and should be the one to finish it. Don't ever sleep when you still have problems cause it makes it even worse.

8. Take it easy. You've got a partner to make you happy. And you're a partner to make him/her happy.

9. Don't hold tightly. A good partner should always think of the partner's feelings. If you take away your partner from his/her old hobbies, friends and relatives, it's totally wrong.

10. Always be sweet to each other. Kiss, say I love you, hug or hold hands often so that the feeling of love will still remain.

11. Compromise. It sounds better and more relaxing hearing your partner explain than nag.

12. NEVER CHEAT. Cheating ruins everything.

13. Keep all your promises. It's called a promise to reassure that he/she will do it.

14. Keep in contact as much as you can. So that you wont get the feeling that he/she is not there for you.

I am having a horrible headache as I am typing this post. It just suck having a headache on a Monday morning…

My week had been really fruitful, haven’t been so efficient for the longest time. What I meant by efficient is of course not related to work because I have always been efficient in regards to work. Haha. I mean efficient in regards to friends. Met up with some friends (more to come) and my new colleagues last week. Really enjoy catching up with friends because I love to reminiscence those time we used to spend together, laugh, bitch and talk about everything under the sun. Previously I was always so busy with my work but now I am going to put in more effort to spend time with my pals…

Love having dinner with my colleagues as well, because this is when we get to know each other better. Although the evening ended pretty early and not everyone in our department attended, I felt that the gathering was really fun. I had a great time, can’t wait for our next gathering. Thanks everyone for being there for me. Big hugs

Saturday was a MRT day…

Bunny left his car at the workshop for spraying and we took a MRT home from town. Thanks to his brother for fetching us there if not I will probably complain even more… Well, once awhile the feeling of taking a MRT is not that bad afterall. At least I have more time to do my shopping… Bunny was extremely sweet as well… (Maybe he felt guilty for making me take the MRT?)

A little backdated... Last Sunday was Bunny's birthday but we had an advanced celebration on Saturday instead. Went to Basilico at The Regent and the food was great. I'm glad he enjoyed it. Haha, he has reached the BIG ‘3’ so I guess I can now officially call him an old man. Hahaha...

As usual got him something from Mont Blanc but this time round it was something not planned for.

The story went like this.... When I first saw the Mont Blanc Iphone casing online, it was love at first sight... So I searched high and low for it BUT it was always out of stock, the salesperson told me that it was out-of-stock worldwide and Sony Errison bought the entire batch for I don’t know what reason. Such a big disappointment, I think I probably searched for at least 6 months... I even left my contact details at the boutique hoping that they would call me once the stock arrived. Yup, and that was how hungry I was for the casing... Funny I know I sound, but I really wanted it. It just add-on to it when Bunny told me that his boss has a luxury Iphone casing and he was considering one as well (to show off). That gave me more reasons to get it for him. One week before his birthday I went shopping alone, went into many boutiques taking a look at all the options for his presents. The LV Iphone casing was the best alternative to the Mont Blanc one but it was out of stock at Ion and I have to head over to Takshimaya to get it. Frustrated, but since I was at Takashimaya, I hopped into Mont Blanc boutique bearing no single hope that I will buy anything from there. Lo and behold, when I was browsing at the leather section, something caught my eyes and it was the Iphone casing. I couldn’t believe my eyes and asked the salesperson was it the Iphone casing that I am holding on. I got the answer that I wanted and yes, without any hesitation I got it for him. I grumbled and complained why didn’t they call me when the stock came in and he said something that really threw me off “if you are fated to have it, you will” which I thought its quite true to a certain extend. Remember those times when I went to many boutiques having the intention to buy something BUT everything that I wanted were out-of-stock. It just made me hopping mad, but it just kept me thinking, maybe I am not fated to have it YET.

New Job New Post

It seemed ages since I last updated anything on this blog, but since Laopo mentioned that now that I am so free after a switch in my career, I should update this pathetic blog of mine... Hahaha... So here goes...

A couple of big changes that happened to me recently is that...
First
I had a change of job. Yes, I had left my previous company Activa Media as a Senior Account Manager to join a new company Asian Tiger as a Corporate Marketing Executive. A new environment, a new job scope and also a whole bunch of new colleagues. They are very nice of course. So far everything is going pretty well for me, but I guess still need to adapt to the new culture over here. Of course being the always so positive me, I believe that I am doing pretty well here. Haha...

Second
Bunny and I got our little love nest together but it will only be ready in 2014. A little surprise aren't you? Hahaha... I wasn’t expecting it to be so fast as well, but well I guess things do happen unexpectedly sometimes (No, I’m not pregnant). Our place would be at Blossom Residences. It is pretty nice place to me… Looking forward for my new place to be ready in 2014.

It's been ages since I last updated this blog, so i decided to post this blog post from the train on my way to work this morning.
Still feeling exhausted from entertaining a drunkard yesterday. Thought it was kind of amusing and entertaining thou it was so tiring. Guess it is the only time when he is so expressive. Maybe should make him drink more the next time he wants to talk to me.
Going to be another long day at work again.... How I wish money could just fall from the sky, then I won't need to work so hard anymore but to be realistic, it will NEVER happen.

Shopping spree

Met up with Laopo today for some quality shopping time. Although it was only 3 hours, we've bought many stuffs. I bought 2 tops and 2 skirts and she bought 1 dress. For me, they are mainly office wear. I was running out of clothes that are suitable for work. Thank goodness for Laopo who introduced me to this shop which sells really nice office clothes that are my size. It's becoming one of my favorite shop. :)

First week of work

Finally, it's been almost 1 week since I've started my training. Overall, I feel that it's still not too bad. My colleagues are all very nice and helpful. The only minus point is that the office is in Novena. Oh man, it's so far.... Thank goodness it's a walking distance from the Novena Mrt station, so it's still not too bad.

Checked out Iluka Seaview Dinning this time round with the 3 Ds, which include Desmond and Desiree this time. Well, the view of the place was breath taking but the food was quite a disappointment. Totally didn't worth the $45 per head. They served international buffet BUT the selection was extremely limited. Sigh, but at least we enjoyed the view for a little while before the sun set. :)

Overall, I give them 2/5 hearts.

Job hunting

As you guys have noticed, since December last year, my life had been really monotonous. The reason why was because I was job hunting and there were nothing much that were worth mentioning. The only stuffs that are really worth talking about were the interesting places that I went to for food exploring. :D
Job hunting had been really tough, especially on an executive level. I had been looking for a job since December 2009. Seems like nothing had been going smoothly for me. Sigh.... It's not like I'm not sending resumes. I've sent out about 400+ resumes from various sources, like newspapers and internet. I even went to different recruitment agencies for at least 4-5 times... So I thought perhaps it's the CV problem, so I amended it. But to no avail... So I thought perhaps it's the cover letter problem this time, and I improved on it. BUT STILL TO NO AVAIL!!! Perhaps I was really picky... Didn't want to settle for a assistant position, didn't want to accept a pay that is lesser then $2200, didn't want to go back in my previous industry and of course didn't want to work in a SMC. In my opinion, I feel that I've paid so much money and put in so much effort for my Degree, I deserve better.... Maybe I'm asking for too much? Hates it when I kept sending resumes and not getting any response... It really hits badly on the self-esteem after sometime...
Finally, today I've been offered a job at an Advertising company. Although it's a SMC, I think I should not be a fussy. At least I'm able to gain some experience from here. :)

Met Laopo after her work for dinner and drinks. It's been such a long time since we last met up for dinner. She treated me to a yummy dinner at Tampopo. It's my first time there and I must say the serving is HUGE. Didn't really touch much of the rice.

Doong Ji Korean Restaurant

Checked out Doong Ji Korean Restaurant this time round. According to a local website, it was highly raved. So we decided to give it a shot. It's located at the far east of Singapore which made it very inconvenient for us as we stayed in the west. It made matter worst when the GPS brought us to the wrong place. The undependable GPS brought us to Upper East Coast Road which was not even close to where we wanted to go... Irritated and hungry, we almost wanted to give up. However we didn't and finally managed to find the place.
The restaurant was not something that I would expect. It was a family restaurant, small but very crowded. The crowd were mainly Koreans and a few locals. The restaurant was owned by a Korean couple and they serve authentic Korean cuisine. The service of the restaurant was excellent. When we were queuing, the boss even came to apologize and served us drinks to make our wait a pleasant one.

The side dishes and drinks were also topped up regularly and the staffs were really attentive.
We ordered the Ginseng chicken soup and the roast pork belly. Initially, I wanted to order 2 serving of rice but was advised by the boss that 1 serving of rice is actually more then enough because there is glutinous rice in the ginseng chicken soup. True enough, we hardly touched the 1 serving of rice and we were totally stuffed. What a waste of food... :( Thought the boss was quite nice to advise us accordingly and not made us order just for the sake of ordering. He could have ignored the fact that we were ordering too much in order for him to earn a little bit more from us. Really a honest chap and an additional plus point, he is actually quite good looking... Haha.

The ginseng chicken soup was really yummy, I could really taste the ginseng in the soup and it was really good. Especially on a wet and cold weather, there is only 1 word to describe it, Heavenly.

The roast pork belly was also very good. The meat was very soft and tender with a perfect amount of fats. I know it's really unhealthy but it's not an everyday issue that you consume such unhealthy good, right? The best part, you do not need to barbecue the meat yourself. Which means no more needing to smell of barbecue pork belly when you come out of the restaurant. Isn't it great?
Would really want to go back there to try their other authentic Korean cuisine. They look really good but spicy.

So overall I would give it a 4/5 hearts.

Met Huizhen at Jurong Point for dinner and she passed me a huge bag of goodies. Poor girl was down with a bad sore throat. Tried the pasta at the new pasta joint, Ambush. I had the cod fish pasta while Huizhen had the cabonara. It's quite nice actually. The creme sauce was a little different from the usual creme sauce that we had. 2 thumbs up for it. :D
After that, I went Chapter 2 for a haircut but it turned out to be a disaster... The stylist cut my fringe a little too short for my liking... :( Should have requested for my usual hair stylist to cut for me instead, but she was not around that day. Damn. Guess I will probably stay away from the camera for a couple of weeks.. Sigh.

Sentosa/Olive on my birthday

Yes, Bun took leave on my birthday. Finally he's all mine on this special day...

Our first stop was The Underwater World, we were just in time for the show. I was so happy that they finally brought the Dolphins to the Underwater World. No more needing to travel all the way to the Dolphin Lagoon which was located at some beach previously, now it's a walking distance from Underwater World and the best part it's sheltered. I enjoyed the sea lions and the dolphins performance. Felt like a kid, all excited when the stars came out and went "woo" and "ah" when they did a stunt. :) Never understand why I love The Underwater World so much, will never get sick of that place. Maybe it's because I'm a Pisces and Pisces is a water sign? Beware of the overwhelming loads of pictures.

Dinner at People's Prawn Noodles. It was yummy and the prawns were HUGE. This is the first time Bun and I had dinner at coffeeshop on a weekend. The feeling was actually quite nice. :) Today was a very relaxing evening. After dinner, went back home and decided to cam-whore a little. :D

Shopping alone

Been out the whole day, beginning to appreciate spending time alone. I had lunch at Coffee Club, the branch at Ngee Ann City. Love the view from the top. I was able to observe people from a bird's eye view, fantastic. After a nice lunch, I began my shopping spree. :) Bought a couple of makeup necessity and of course not forgetting CLOTHES!!! :D Was totally worn out by the time I was done... The shopping bags were so heavy... :( The bad thing about shopping alone is that there's nobody to give you opinions and nobody to help you take shopping bags. Sob... Nevertheless, it was really enjoyable.

Went to Rakuzen for my favorite Japanese food. Yummy... It was my first time trying their sparkling sake and I fell in love with it. I was initially attracted by the looks of the bottle, it's in pink, so pretty. Now, not only it looks pretty, it taste very nice too. Taste like sparkling juice. :D I want to try their other sake as well.

Chinese New Year/First Valentine's Day

It was the first day of Chinese New Year as well as Valentine's Day. The day was well spend going around visiting my granny and maternal relatives.
Well, as for Valentine's Day, luckily Bun managed to do something to salvage our first Valentine's Day. If not, I am so going to kill him. I do not expect alot BUT I do expect him to put him some effort to make the event a memorable one. Is it too much to ask?

Checked out Thai Central at Bukit Timah. Everytime we walked past, we wanted to try it. Finally the day came and we decided to give it a shot. Their menu was a little similar to the one from Thai Express. But I feel that Thai Express has more variety in their cuisine. Most of their dishes are for individuals, not so much for sharing. The decor of the restaurant was very simple but the food was a little disappointing in my opinion.

Finally checked out Somerset 313, the Zara and Forever21 were HUGE... But I guessed that was the only wow part, the rest were nothing spectacular. Had some really awful and expensive sushi at the basement. I paid $30+ on some sushi which could not even fill my stomach, although they claimed that their sushi are all handmade. A pity I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant. :(

I bought a new casing for my Iphone baby. It only cost me $20. Cheap. :)

Dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen with Bun. Everytime I patronized them, I would order the Peking Duck pizza and the Jambalaya pasta. These 2 flavors are my favorite flavor because they are very special, unlike the normal tomato sauce or creme sauce base. Feel free to try and let me know how you like them. Sorry no pictures of the food, we were too hungry that we tucked it almost immediately after the food came.

Met up with Huizhen to pass her the presents, belated birthday and early valentine's day presents. I had a great time catching up with her.

I even accompanied her to take the instant passport photo. It was super unglamorous, but we did it anyway. It was fun.
We ate a hell loads that day, goodness. First we had a late lunch at Crystal Jade, after that we shopped around before heading to our second destination, Holland Village to get her bag. Feeling happy and satisfied, we carried on to have our dinner at Sushi Tei.

Checked out Curry Favor at Stamford House on Friday. As you can see from the name of the restaurant, they serve curry, Japanese curry to be exact. The decor of the place is very simple and cozy and the food that they serve is yummy.

The main course was accompanied with miso soup or salad. Of course I would opt for the miso soup.

Went for a job interview in the afternoon before meeting Laopo in the evening. I'm meeting her 2 days in a row and I'm loving it. We went to Town to do a little shopping before heading over to Clark Quay for dinner. Along the way, we met Latha, our polytechnic classmate, and invited her and her friends to have dinner with us at Sun & Moon. It was really nice to see Latha after such a long time. I guessed I had not seen her since I graduated from NYP, which was like 2 years ago. Gosh, I'm glad she still recognized me. I felt really happy to catch up with her and of course made some new friends too.
We were like so noisy in Sun & Moon that everyone was staring at us. But it seems that we're in our little world that we do not care about anything else. It was really fun... Haha

After dinner, we went our separate ways, they went to The Arena while Laopo and I just chilled at Pump Room with a bottle of wine. What a relaxing evening. Who says all ladies MUST club on Wednesdays? Chilling out is a form of enjoyment too.

Checked out Mad Jack Cafe and I was very disappointed with their food. They serve Aussie food, but goodness, the food suck big time. The meal started off with a soup of the day which was mushroom soup. I'm a person who loves mushroom soup and I can be extremely lenient towards that. I don't even mind if it taste like The Campbell's mushroom soup. But hell no, it was so bland that after adding table salt to the soup, it ended up tasting like salt+soup. Yucks.
My main course was beef lasagna and it was so dry and tasteless. I had "spread" tomato sauce on it to enhance the taste a little. He had the chicken leg which was named "Swan River Chick." The name sounded really nice, the look of it looked really appetizing but the taste of it was mediocre.
However, the worst thing I had ever eaten was the desert. They looked really pretty BUT it was a disaster. Never had such horrible dessert before. I had the Chocolate Banana Cake and he had the Mad & Rich Cake. They looked like the cakes from Secret Recipe BUT do not be deceived by their looks. It was bad, real bad... :( The cakes did not taste fresh and it was so dry. 1 word to describe, YUCKS.
Guess the only thing which was the plus point of the place was the price. It was cheap, that's all...

Went for lunch with Sis at some Hong Kong Cafe at IMM and shopping after that. Was not feeling very well since then, feeling all nausea and stuff. No, I am not pregnant. Haha.... Rushed home to get ready for dinner. Checked out Smoochies Bistro & Bar.

Really liked the design of the place, very modernized and comfortable. However, I was pretty surprised because it was rather quiet on a Friday evening. There are outdoor as well as indoor seating. We chose the indoor seating as we thought we could enjoy the live band. It was a 2 piece band and I thought the guy's voice was so much better then the girl's.

The food was not bad but the serving size was a tad small.

Everything will be charged to the card issued at the entrance, eat first and pay later concept. So interesting, I like.... :) After that, we carried on to The Wine Company for our chilling out as well as count down session. However it was all ruin by a bunch of super rowdy people. It was so loud that we cannot even hear our own voice. Yes, it was that bad, so tiring to hold up the conversation. :(
Was a little uphappy with Bun that evening... Hope lesson had been learnt... :(

Christmas dinner was at "The R.R." company. Well, for those who followed my twitter would probably know what "R.R." stands for and for those who didn't, that is just too bad. It was the most boring thing ever to be there. Felt so out of place there and of course that was not the worst. The worst thing was to take their sarcasm. Bought a bling-ed casing for my Iphone baby from Sim Lim. A pity that they went out of stock for the pink ones, had to make-do with blue... Would prefer the pink one thou... :( But it is ok, I can always buy another one another time... :) I am so happy that I got my Iphone baby because they sell ready-made bling casing, unlike my old phone, I have to take the hassle to bling it myself. It's so troublesome, tons of hardwork and patience to get it done. Now, I can purchase it for only $29.90 for a pretty bling case. Cheap!!! Time to buy more bling casing... :)

Taipei Trip

This entry is about my Taipei trip. It was from 11-15 December 2009. The weather was cool there and I have a great time... Although it was not the right season to shop there but I enjoyed myself. Beware of the overwhelming loads of pictures... :)

Day 1

We reached Taipei, Tao Yuan Airport at about 7pm and took a bus to our hotel. It is really convenient to travel around in Taipei, everywhere is easily accessible via their public transport and it is really cheap.

We checked-in to our nice, little cozy hotel. We stayed in Longstay Hotel, a boutique hotel in Xi Men Ding district.

After washing up, we got ready to check out Xi Men Ding and also to have our dinner. By then I was famished. Was too hungry to think about what to eat and we randomly went to one of the restaurants.

There were also performance by the bartenders and the Luxy girls... Man, they were sizzling HOT!!!

Did not stay till late because we know we are going to have a long day the next day... :)

Day 2

Had brunch at Ah Zhong Mien Sian. It's delicious, but the bad thing is that you have to eat while standing. There are no seats or anything like that. It needs skills to eat that... :)

To travel around, we bought the MRT ticket to travel around.

We took the train to Taipei City Hall to shop around. There are a lot of high end shops over there and of course the famous Taipei 101.

Next stop we went to Wu Fen Pu to continue our shopping excursion. We stopped by this eating place for a little snack. No pictures were taken at Wu Fen Pu because I was too busy shopping... :)

After that we went to Raohe Night Market before heading back to the hotel feeling totally exhausted...

Day 3

Had Ru Rou Fan and fried carrot cake for brunch before heading off to our next destination.

Went to visit some museum in Gu Gong. It was boring.....

Had some snacks at Yong He soyabean stall. We have 1 branch in Singapore as well. But I think the Singapore's is nicer.

After that we went to Miramar Complex for some more shopping and to take the Ferris wheel ride...

It's really breath taking at night...

Next stop was Shilin Night Market. Lots of interesting food to try and many stuffs to buy... Our dinner spot, beef steak.

Day 4

Had lunch at the Toilet resturant at Xi Men Ding before heading to our next destination.

But the desert from the desert stall was nice...

I hate how I was being judged and all but what to do, it's part and puzzle of finding a job... :( Job hunting has not been very successful for me but I hope everything will be better after I come back from Taiwan. :)

Mum accompanied me for an interview and after that we went to have lunch together. Was telling her that we should buy a new Christmas tree after the old one fell on my head many years ago. So, we went and got a pretty nice one from Giant as well as some ornaments to go with it. :D Spend a couple of hours setting it up and decorating it with my family...
The picture doesn't bring justice to my tree... :( It looks nicer in real and it has pretty colorful lights too... It's a pink and silver tree... Just the way I like it... :)

So I brought it out to Clarke Quay for my virgin photo shoot. We had dinner at Fishermen's Wharf. Their fish and chips is really good. You guys should seriously go and try it. But my advice to you is to pick a cooler day to go because there is no air-con for that restaurant!!!

And I bought sweets from Sticky... Yummy... I want to try all their flavors...

Went to Wala Wala with a couple of friends to celebrate the last couple of singlehood days of Andrew and his partner before they get married. Well, the band was really nice BUT the ambiance suck. The crowd was just horrible and it was freaking warm in there. My god... Felt as if I was in a sauna.... *Faintz* Well, I don't think I would want to go there again unless it's during a weekday whereby it is not so crowded...

Went to the Sitex Fair at Expo and brought home my new Baby... Initially, I wanted to get the Canon Sx 10 or Sx 20, but after some influence from a couple of friends, I decided to get a SLR instead. Although it is not an expensive model but I'm already contented. This is my first SLR. Thank you mummy for this nice graduation present. I love it. Still trying to learn how to use it... :D
After hearing that I've got a SLR, Bro was so excited too. Haha... He stayed up till I came back just to play with it... Haha...

Aunt invited my family over to their house to celebrate my cousin, Tavis's 27th birthday. A pity I could not attend because I had to rush my assignment. 7 pages of writing is driving me nuts. Nonetheless I would still have to finish it, because it was my last essay for the semester and I am done with school. Excited and yet scary because that means that it is time for me to start searching for a proper job. Wish me all the best in my job hunting and hopefully I can find something that I truly enjoy doing.

Being a girl can be such a troublesome thing. Went to the doctor the today because I had rashes outbreak on my face. What happened was that the day before, I was thinking to myself, "Hmm... I haven't been pampering myself enough recently. Why don't I start by doing a face mask." So, there I was, happily putting on my face mask while relaxing and watching television. Everything seems fine, until the next day when I got up and went to the washroom, I saw 2 HUGE patches of red on my cheeks. Gosh, that was a disaster. I thought I was going to be disfigured or something. Freaked me out of my wits. The rashes were REALLY bad... I had never had such issues with skincare products and why now??? Oh well, I went to the doctor and he told me that my skin looked burnt. BURNT??!!! Yup, apparently by some acidic content in the mask that I was using. Good gracious. Time to dump the mask already... :( Scary....

And, damn it, why do rashes kept coming back to me these days? I thought I've just recovered from rashes on my body and now rashes on my face. And guess what, the rashes on my body are coming back again... What is wrong with me.

Love checking out new places to dine in, so this time round I checked out La Strada. If I were to give a rating, it would be 3/5 hearts.

Was a little disappointed with my food but overall was quite alright. Perhaps I had too much expectation for that place because of all the raving from several people

The recruitment agency's consultant asked me a couple of questions which lead me wondering if she actually read my resume or even used her brain...

1.She asked if I wanted to go back to nursing and kept emphasizing how well nurses are paid.
Oh please, if I had the intention of going back to being a nurse why did I switch course in doing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and not a Degree in Nursing which take a shorter time to finish? And why would I even need their service to help me find a nursing job? There is a lack of nurses EVERYWHERE... I can jolly well find one myself. And if she really thinks that nurses are well-paid then she is wrong because I think I know more nurses as compared to her in her entire lifetime.

2. She asked if I'm interested to be a receptionist since I had included in my resume that I enjoy meeting new people.

I do not pay $67k of school fees and spend so much time and effort to get my degree just to be a receptionist. Don't you think it is a waste of talent? If I seriously wanted to be a receptionist, I do not even need any qualifications. What was she thinking... *Shake Head*

3. She asked me what was my expected salary and quoted me $1.9k

When I graduated from my diploma, I've got $1.8k and now after I've got a degree, $1.9k? Are you kidding me?

Had an appointment with a recruitment agency today and decided to have lunch at Coffeeclub. Love the Bake Spaghetti Bolognaise. Really enjoyed the time spent today. My book and Ipod accompanied me the whole time. I got to observe many different kinds of people too.

An uncle finally ordered food after sitting there for at least 30min with a cup of coffee. He was alone the whole time by the way.
People shunting away from surveyors like as if they have got some weird diseases...
A woman who dyed 4 different colors on her hair... Cool...
Another woman who walked like a supermodel. Twisting and shaking her butt. Weird
And of course not forgetting really good looking people... :p

I do not know if it is because I have not been taking the public transport for a long time, I realized that many things have changed. For instance, there are barriers/gates along the tracks at Jurong East station now. Is it because people had been committing suicide and they are trying to prevent it from happening? And there are also SBS buses that goes straight to Johor? I always thought those buses are only available in Kranji. Interesting...

Last minute went to Jurong Point to meet Laopo, it's been almost 2 weeks or more since I last saw her. Initially, we wanted to have coffee at Bakerzin but ended up having lunch instead. They have some promotion going on whereby it one-for-one for all main course. So obviously we took the cheap deal. :D Here are what we ate.

After that, we went to do Express Manicure which cost us $8 each. Oh my goodness, DIRT CHEAP!!!

Following that, I had to rush back home to put my car before heading out to my next destination, The Wine Company at Evans to have dinner and my favorite wine. This time, I had finally got to try their warm chocolate cake which I always wanted to try. It was yummy.....

Post dinner party at St. James. We did not stay until very late, didn't have the mood to party. But there are several entertaining people there that night, we kept ourselves busy by observing them. It's good to stay sober sometimes, so that you can observe "the interesting" people. :D

First solo ride

Went to Body Works at Science Center with my family and it was FUN... Although the entrance fee was a little pricey, it was $20 per adult but it was definitely worth it. The exhibits were so cool and amazing. Never underestimate how our body function. It was unbelievable. :D Not allowed to take any pictures of the exhibits thou... What a pity. For those who have not seen it, hurry up before it ends...

Granny's Bday and Halloween

Went to Aunt's house at Hougang to celebrate Granny's birthday... It was quite nice seeing all the relatives, cousins etc. after such a long time. I think the last time I saw them was during the Chinese New Year. Gosh, that was a long time... Hmm... Maybe we could organize some partying session or something and hang out together with the cousins someday. Think it would be fun... :D Looking forward to that day...
It was Halloween too, but didn't celebrate at all. :( When I got home after my shopping and dinner, it was already very late. Guessed all the clubs would be packed by then. But that was not the main reason why I stayed home during Halloween. By well, what is past is past. Should not harp on it anymore, right?

Was not feeling well... :( Had a really bad runny nose... Had dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Marina Square... I love the congee there, it's nice... After that, we took a stroll down to Esplanade. There was an event there and EVERYONE was dancing... It was so interesting... It makes me want to learn ballroom dancing too... :D After that, we checked out the roof terrace and found this interesting place - Orgo. The view was spectacular. It overlooks the bay. Would really want to try it someday. :)

Christian had came to Singapore for some exhibition and he made some time to actually meet up with me. I felt so pampered and appreciated. It had been 3 years plus since the last time I saw him. He had not changed much, still as charismatic and funny. Enjoyed catching up with him after such a long time. :D We had dinner at The Wine Company at Evans. I love the place because it is so cosy and they also serve my favorite wine. :)

Sis and I went shopping (without letting my Bro know)... We wanted to surprise him with his favorite chocolate cake. Sis told him that she was home watching television but in actual fact, she was out shopping with me... Haha... So evil. We did a very silly thing when we were shopping for our cake. She could not remember the location of the shop when it was right in front of us. *Faintz* After we realised that it was THAT shop, she could not remember which cake was it... Haha... We had to buy a small slice of cake and stood in front of the shop to eat it before deciding on whether to buy it or not... It was so embarrassing... The result of 2 blur queens shopping... :D After that, we rushed home and hid the cake... We didn't want Bro to find out, so we acted as if nothing had happened at all. We were so naughty....
After that, we continued to go for a nice dinner at Bukit Timah. The food there was yummlicious. Had satay, lotus roots soup, cereal prawns, samba lala, baby kailan, chili crab, baked salted crab, red wine chicken and prawn sauce chicken. So delicious....
Finally, we went back home and surprised him with the cake we bought for him. Yes, he was surprised because he did not expect us to buy him a cake and the funniest part is that he could not find it at all although he had opened the refrigerator several times... Haha, we were so smart... :p

Woke up early to have Tim Sum at Dragon Gate Restaurant. It was yummy... And guess what, the meal was free because someone know the captain of the restaurant and we got a treat... We were freeloader of the day... Haha...
After that we walked around at Vivo City... Sigh, that place is boring.... Had a hard time trying to find a present for my Bro. It was either too cheap, too ugly or no sizing... What a headache. Ended up buying him a dry-fit polo T-shirt from Adidas. Bought myself a dress, a top and a bottom too... :D

Went to a birthday bash at Aranda Country Club in Pasir Ris. So since we were there, we decided to check out this Watercross Beach Culture. It's quite a nice place with really pretty scenery of the sea. Not forgetting the live band there was not bad too. It's really a nice place to chill out, a pity we do not have such nice places in the West... :(
